Electronics, Gadgets and everything else

Google Adwords is definitely not new and many people have used it to make lots of money. If you want to get good with Adwords, however, you must give yourself time to learn what it takes. It’s necessary to study as much about the platform as you can and then be aware of every technique you use. If you’re thinking of starting Adwords, then, you must do your homework. You are about to given a few Adwords techniques that are perfect for creating ad campaigns that see results.

A good tip for all beginning Adwords users is to only use those keywords that are within your price range. People just starting out with Adwords often want to keywords that cost more than they have to spend because it looks like it might be a good investment. Just make sure you’re aware of the other side to this. It’s usually the case that the keywords that cost a little more aren’t focused on anything specific so you may not have success with them. You should instead use Google’s keyword to help you find those long tail keywords that will really target your advertising. Don’t’ listen to anybody who urges you to pay more and instead just do what you want. Always make sure you’re split testing your ads. This is one thing too many Adwords users never consider. Just write two or three ads per each ad group and then throw them in the mix while using various tools to consider which ad outperforms the others. If an ad isn’t doing so well, for instance, you can take that ad and make it better, or throw it out altogether. Do this process until you see your click through rate, or CTR, begin to go up. If you can increase your click through rate, your conversions will go up and that means you’ll sell more.

You must ensure that the right people see the right keywords you’re using. Many new AdWords advertisers make the mistake of using irrelevant keywords in their ads, making their click through rate low. So when you bid for a targeted keyword, you need to make sure that it occurs both in the title and as well as your ad’s body. Your keywords will then be bolded in the ads, allowing them to look different from the others. Selecting the proper keywords is the lifeblood of successful Adwords campaign and it could mean the difference between succeeding and failing. I’ll give a practical example in one of my client’s campaigns.  They were trying to sell scratch and dent appliances and yet they were using only the word “appliances” in their adwords campaign.  This was much too broad as a search term and thus they had a lot of lookers but not many buyers.  When they narrowed down their ad to only include the term scratch and dent appliances or even gently used appliances, their conversion rates skyrocketed.  Amazing results can happen if you really focus your key terms.

All in all, AdWords is not as easy as it sounds but at the same time it’s not really complicated if you know what you’re doing. If success is something you’re hoping for when using Adwords, you need to listen to the above techniques and never stop trying. Just make sure you’re always examining and changing your ads accordingly to see success.
